Hugo Award Winners

The Hugo Award, presented annually at the World Science Fiction Convention since 1953, is the most prestigious prize in science fiction and fantasy. Voted on by members of the convention — meaning it reflects the tastes of the genre's most engaged readers — it has recognised Isaac Asimov, Arthur C. Clarke, Ursula K. Le Guin, and more recently N.K. Jemisin, who won three consecutive Hugos for the Broken Earth trilogy. The Hugo is a barometer of the genre's evolving concerns and its ongoing argument about what science fiction is for.
